Summary
It's 2017. Blackbeard is a famed thief, whose crew signs on with a tall ship or yacht, scouts out the valuables while the ship sets out for international waters, and then Blackbeard sneaks aboard, ties up the crew, robs them, and leaves. Izzy has just met this incredible ponce of a man who has entered the Transatlantic Tall Ship Regatta with no experience, and Izzy thinks he should be the next target. The ponce, of course, is Stede. One problem: he's already seen Izzy, Fang, and Ivan, so Ed, who hasn't joined a target's crew all season, will have to do it alone.
Another problem: it's love at first sight.

Not in the kind of way you know that 2+2=4, more in the way you know your own name. Because June couldn't live a second of her life without the terrible memory of Enchantress. Sometimes it was at the back of her mind, just an omnipresent fact, on those days she got out of bed and showered and could function. Most of the time, however, Enchantress's name was on the tip of her tongue even before her own.

His parents were split, and when it was his father's turn to pick him up from swim lessons he was guaranteed to be 45 minutes late. Billy had scooped him up, one hand over his mouth, and Heather had waited with the trunk of the car open.
These were the thoughts Billy was sweating with in the July heat. He'd never liked the cold, and found he liked it even less now. The fan sat in the corner, unplugged."

"“How's your girl doing?” Lawton asks as Rick finishes seeing him safely back into his old cell at Belle Reve Prison. The trip back from seeing his daughter had been quiet, for the most part. Mostly just Lawton talking about his little girl.
“June is alright,” Rick answers honestly, and he feels a quiet hope for the future.
When he gets home, he finds June in bed. When he'd left two days ago he'd pressed a kiss to her forehead, letting her sleep in. It's almost 3pm now. The coffee he'd left perking away merrily for when she did wake up is untouched."

“Me?” he said with something like horror, as if he was beginning to think that he couldn't get out of this. Then his attention sifted focus. “Wait, you asked Four before me?”
