Summary
How do you make things right? Especially when you're the one who caused all the pain in the first place--
Colonel O'Neill is back at the SGC after a lengthy recuperation period--and this is his first mission back with the team. Sam's doing her best to act as if everything is normal. As if his absence wasn't her fault. As if he hadn't been captured, tortured, killed, and then revived time and time again because of her. Desperate to make things right, she's unsure how to accomplish that feat. Even worse, she's completely unsure where they stand--or whether he can even forgive her.
Episode tag to "Frozen" and "Abyss". Written in honor of "Sam/Jack Ship Day 2024" using the prompt "Dancing in the Rain".

The holidays are rough---especially when you don't have anyone with whom to share them. Sure, Sam has her team, and they all do their best to make things special. But the past few years have been hard---things have happened that have proven impossible to simply bury. And here she is again, a little fragile, hanging around the Mountain on Christmas Eve when her heart desperately wants to be somewhere (anywhere!) else. And then something---fate?---presents her with an opportunity to change everything.
