There were bolts of blue lighting dancing across the room, and guards went down left and right by something too fast for anyone to see. The guards fired into the room, panicked, but the blue blur of lighting was relentless and soon no one was left standing.
Shadow stood at the edge of the room, eyes and mouth agape as the blue blur finally stood still, standing over the unconscious guards. It was a hedgehog! It looked like–

Summary
At Shadow and Sonic's meet-up, after the shattering of the Paradox Prism, something snaps in Shadow and with his worry and frustration fueling his anger, he gets controlled by someone and crosses a line, leaving Sonic emotionally vulnerable.
With the hero's walls now crumbled, the real villain finally shows their true colors and tries to trap Sonic in the multiverse by creating a role for the blue hedgehog in their chessboard. What they didn't predict though was for Shadow to follow Sonic in the new dimension.
Turns out that if Sonic wants to continue rebuilding his and everyone's home, Shadow will have first to mend what he shattered; Sonic's heart.

IX-0 is under orders to patrol and vet the pirates trying to enter into the New World, and it's been going great. About a year and a half after its deployment, it encounters a small, captainless crew with dreams each more impossible than the one before. That should be the end of it, but IX-0 finds itself following them into the New World in search of something it can't explain.
