She’d said it only twenty-four hours ago. It wasn’t even a joke on Javadi’s part, though she’d assumed it was on McKay’s… The woman had laughed it off, her arms crossed and eyes wrinkling at the corners. Her smile was wide, the kind that showed the sharp canines wedging themselves into her bottom lip to try and ease her nerves. Javadi had stared, maybe a little too long… but it wasn’t like it mattered anymore.
They had started a game.
“Why not?”

She whispered it so quietly that she wasn't sure the call had picked it up. Her fingers buried back inside of her, the aching unbearable. It wasn't enough, none of it was, and she was putting everything on the line for it.
"…You need me?"
