Anya is encouraged by Loid and the school to have a tutor or study partner, in order to help improve her grades, thus raise her chances of becoming an imperial scholar for Operation Strix. However, that tutor ends up being none other than Damian Desmond! (thanks to Loids successful skills in the art of persuasion)
Damian, only in it for a possible stella and extra credit, has no idea that the student he is going to be tutoring is his frienemy Anya Forger! Anya however, of course knew after having read her fathers mind that morning. Determined to bring Plan B into further fruition, she wills herself to put up with 'Sy-on boys' weird and contradicting thoughts.
After only 20 minutes of studying together Damian comments on the weird way that Anya studies. Nose deep into her textbook and already complaining, seemingly brain dead already. A thought strikes him as he watches her even more closely, at how her eyes seemed to unconsciously twitch and squint as the commoner continues to read. Realisation hits him.
Could Anya need glasses!?

This lets all the feelings get felt so fully, which feels so warm even and especially when it goes too far.
Like, you don't have to bite back on feeling things. Once you feel them you know what you're working with and better how to proceed.
This story feels so full and descriptive, that even without going around describing things at excessive length, I feel trust, trust that I could walk in any direction in the world I'd run into something and if I licked it it'd have a taste. No, trust that in any blank area there's something there I just haven't seen. I know it's not like that, just like how the detail gets higher in the focal point of a painting, but it feels so comprehensive.
Even though it ALSO feels like following the current of a stream.Good work

There was a beat of silence, the four wings folded back behind him before the man spoke again. This time he sounded almost relieved if not doubtful
“you have no idea who I am, do you?” when Scar shook his head in confusionOr Scar breaks into an old temple, not knowing it was still inhabited by the god it was made for.
