Broken bridges? Broken bridges? There had never been a "bridge" to begin with! Not with Potter, the carbon copy of his school bully, who spoke, acted, believed himself so superior to anyone else he might as well be the second coming of his father. There had always only been damp planks slogging down a river which separated them on two opposite banks. No bridge to speak of.

And really, he didn’t. Not really. He only knew this Peter, the lone wolf and broken Peter. He didn’t know any of Peter’s old interests or hobbies, or what he was like as a teenager.
And it was all Peter’s fault, so he couldn’t really be mad, could he?

After Mr. Stark finding Peter and kind of, sort of, maybe remembering him, Peter is trying to adjust to a new life where he needs to rebuild old relationships. Except the only problem is, he doesn't know how to do that. Not when everything is so familiar to his old life, and yet so different at the same time.

The lady at the counter curiously glanced over before lifting a questioning brow. “My brother – half-brother, technically, I have much better breeding – decided to run away from home to where our father can’t reach him and now he won’t leave. And now I can’t leave unless he leaves,” Triton continued. Percy opened his mouth to object that wasn’t what happened at all, but the tyrant only waved a hand to silence him. “He’s seen war or whatever, so if you could maybe just drug him then I’ll throw him into a suitcase and we can be out of here by the Summer Solstice!”
Silence. Finally, the woman cleared her throat and turned to Percy.
“I’m guessing he’s the one you want checked into the mental hospital?” She asked. Triton gasped as Percy punched the air in victory.
“Aha!”

Getting in trouble works a little differently when your parent is an all-powerful god. Sometimes you have to escape to the land beyond gods and get your immortal brother turned human to drag you back so you can be exploded a million pieces. You know, normal teenage stuff.

It took a second for Steve to register that Tony was joking around because of the monotone way he delivered it. There was no emotion in his voice, cynical or otherwise. He was almost robotic, uncaring, smiling at them like they’d never left, but it wasn’t the same smile. It was plastic, a mask.
Then Tony met Steve’s eyes, and Steve’s heart sunk at their emptiness.

Does he have a roommate at college that he whispers secrets to at night? Does he feel like Todd does: the same fear, desperation, dread?
Of course not. Jeffrey is the good, normal son. The one who scales poetry on a graph and wears raincoats so he doesn't get sick and miss two days of classes, like Todd does. The son who sleeps at night and doesn't spend hours in the dark mulling over his feelings, because Jeffrey is normal and Todd is not.(Or: Jeffrey visits Welton for a week, and Todd is finally seizing the day.)
