Dragons, by nature, are possessive, protective creatures, and Rhaenyra knows that the Realm will not accept her simply because her father declared it to be, and she will not allow her children, even the ones not of her womb, to be harmed.
Her father delights in it. The Realm whisper about her kindness. Otto is his normal self. Gwayne's just along for the ride. Laenor is having a grand old time. Summary
