“You were in four pieces,” Sukuna deadpans. He stretches out a hand and Satoru feels a faint tug at the edges of his scars.
“You killed me.” Satoru concedes quietly. He takes a careful sip of the soup, and nearly sighs as the flavours spread on his tongue, though he can’t tell if it’s because Sukuna’s cooking is that good or simply because he hasn’t had anything to eat since he died. “About a thousand years into the future, you killed me.”
It’s strange, saying it out loud.

Sukuna merely smiles, a baring of teeth that looks like it promises the end of the world. Like it promises the end of the universe, of universes, of everything.
As the remaining curses on earth begin to dwindle, Sukuna and Gojo are left alone with just themselves and their all-consuming hunger.

OR: At sixteen, Satoru curses himself with a binding vow. At twenty-nine-and-one-eternity, he pays its price. At the end of the world, there is only bloodshed, curses, and the impending heat-death of the universe.
He is still the strongest sorcerer, despite what anyone else insists. He is just a little more hungry. He is just, so, terribly, hungry.
