Summary

Between an extravagant adoption party, too much blood, a missing friend, and the mystery of her origins, Robin has to learn what it means to be a Cullen. Most days, the benefits outweigh the costs a hundredfold. Other days, she just feels like a wrench in the well-oiled machine of their family life, especially when her emerging talent drags her into hostile situations—and into the gaze of eyes so compelling she can almost forget they are red.

Summary
For Anne Grant, being a survivor is nothing new. She and her family survived China, after all. And thank goodness, because if she hadn't learned how to survive there pre war, she might never have made it after leaving the Vault. But now, her husband is dead, her baby died an old man, and everyone keeps looking at her to get things done in a world even worse off than the one she knew before. She had thought it would end with pushing the big red button, but maybe that was just the beginning. With the Railroad imploding, the Brotherhood planning a takeover, and the Minutemen under siege, Anne is going to crash and burn, unless someone helps her land.
This is not a rehash of the main plot. This is mostly before and after. A brief summation of choices will be provided in the notes when needed so that we are all on the same page literally, literarily, and probably also metaphorically.
