Summary
His eyes landed on her braid, and he was seized with an irrational, immature, completely idiotic inspiration. He knew what would get her attention. He knew what she couldn't possibly ignore.
Gilbert Blythe had read poetry, newspapers, and literature. His vocabulary was extensive and admirable. As such, he had a huge inventory of synonyms for the word “orange.” Yet, somehow, when faced with the beauty of Anne’s vibrant red hair, only one word came to his mind.
He grabbed her braid and jerked it sharply, pulling her head along with it. “Carrots!”
A canon-compliant rewrite of Gilbert and Anne's first interactions, in which I try to figure out exactly what makes this boy tick.

Summary
Pidge is growing up. That means dealing with pains both physical and emotional. Good thing she's not the only girl on the castle ship.
In other words, Pidge gets her period and Allura is here to help. I guess you can read it as Allura/Pidge if you want, I didn't write it that way but if you want to read it that way . . .
