Summary

In which after learning the truth from Tobi, Sasuke decides to run on his own to Konoha to kill Danzo. In the process, he (re)learns how to cry.

Summary
“You were right, Cait,” The words taste like ash in her mouth, but she pushes through. “Powder’s gone. But I can make this right. If you get Jayce to fix the gauntlets, I can do this myself. No one else needs to get hurt.” Except for Vi, of course, but if she had the choice to take the pain of others onto herself, she’d make that choice every single time. It’s not even a thought to her, anymore. Just an instinct.
For the Vi fans who were underwhelmed by her season 2 presence. What if she was given the writing she deserved? And what if we were given the Vi-focused season we were promised?
Vi-centric partial retelling of season 2, but a little to the left*.
*Okay maybe a lot to the left. This fic will include some canon divergences, such as:
- Caitlyn and Vi argue over using the Grey
- Ekko and Vi talk Jinx down together
- Zaun is liberated

If pressed, Vi would probably say she couldn't really see the point of yet another monument. Graves, at least, were private enough, but a statue of Jinx in the middle of Zaun was hardly the place where she could mourn for her sister in solitude. If Pilties wanted to assuage their guilt or if Zaunites wanted to send a message, she honestly couldn’t care less. If she had her way, she’d have nothing to do with it.
At that point in life, Vi should already be aware she hardly, if ever, had things go her way.
