She was no doubt thinking about all the other times he'd gone to work with severe injuries, and him suddenly deciding to take a day off because he felt ill probably seemed more than a little weird to her. He couldn't blame her. He wouldn't usually stay home for something so minor, but for some reason, today felt different. It felt like more than a little bit of a chest cold, or pneumonia.

    Of course, he wouldn't bring that fact up, because clearly it's not bad enough if he's not curled up on the ground dying, thus he will ignore it till it gets to that point.
    "I've got a chest cold, I called the owners and took the day off. They didn't want me coughing on the..." He tried to think of something the owners wouldn't want him coughing on, but realised they wouldn't even give a shit if he spat in a customers face, so they probably wouldn't mind him coughing on things. Or people. "... Pralines."
