This is my take on what would happen if you were the Neighbor’s 'good friend,' staying with his family while he is with Protag and remaining with them after, and if you played a more important role in the story than the game lets on.
The world outside is burning. Inside, safety feels temporary. You are taken in by the family who became your home away from home, but their generosity is not met with gratitude by all. Strangers arrive, tensions rise, and what distinguishes humans and visitors begins to blur. Your survival dependents on your loyalty and trust in others. Meanwhile, something unseen presses closer – watching, waiting, knocking.

It was a drastic change. Suddenly being told to not go outside, that there was a strange visitor on the loose trying to get into peoples homes. You weren't allowed to go outside as the sun could kill you, but it was unsafe to leave your home at night. Now, you had to let strangers in your home to survive. Some could be guests, others could be visitors, who would attempt to kill those in your home. During all of this, some of the guests you've let in your home start to become more controlling. On top of all of this, one visitor keeps coming by every other night.
