Ignoring the rising voice of the red head, Kunigami sat down on the mat and finally looked back at Chigiri.

“I’m going to lift you for the rest of my warm up.”

Kunigami loved running along the beach at dawn.
Perhaps his favorite part was the feeling of newness that came with each sunrise, the sense of something magical glittering on the ocean’s surface.
And now, more and more frequently, was the occasional splash of something large always just out of the corner of his eye. Too big for a fish, he thought, but not big enough for a whale. Typical of beaches, there were always rumors of sharks or dolphins but Kunigami ran every morning and had never seen either one.
