Summer vacation may very well be moved to the following section, should it serve to flow better overall. Someone is crying in that room over there and he seems to be the only one who has noticed.
Sometimes he misses how it used to be. Old Branch would have calculated that the crying sounds stressed, not fearful or hurt. Old Branch would have concluded that it indicates emotional issues rather than something dangerous. Old Branch would have decided to not get involved and would have just gone home without a backwards glance.
But then again, old Branch was kind of an ass.
