The twins (three months older, taller and wiser) return to Gravity Falls for a short Winter Break. Things have changed and they aren't sure what lies in store for them. Grunkle Stan is married, Grunkle Ford is acting weird, the townsfolk want nothing to do with them, and people keep claiming to see a giant space axolotl in the woods?

They were undoubtedly a Cult. He was however homeless and more than a little hungry and they were offering food and warm place to sleep. He was smart enough to not fall for their religious bullshit. Just one meeting, one meal, one night. He wasn't expecting to be singled out, invited back... enthralled.
ii is just a drummer for hire down on his luck when he spots an opportunity for a quick meal and a warm bed. He unwittingly walks into The Collective and his life is changed forever.

It's never really bothered him but he does notice that Satan has favorites and they get perks that other ghouls don't. Zenigata had worn a suit every day for years but Lupin had never seen him look this slick. His silhouette was all but perfect and Lupin felt it was a crime that he had been hiding it in that economically priced suit and crumpled mackintosh. It seemed Zenigata was realizing it himself too. There was something in how Zenigata was seeing himself that made Lupin's heart pulse.
"What's all this about, Lupin? Why are we playing dress up?" He asked.
"Because if you are going to be my bodyguard, it'll be nothing but the best." Lupin said it in a doting way and Zenigata could swear he saw the edges of Lupin's lips curling.
