Summary
The events at Crescent Moon Island during the Winter Solstice turn out a little differently. As the volcano erupts thanks to Roku's wrath, chaos consumes the temple, and Sokka tries to save their new ally Shyu, but ends up trapped and collapsing from exhaustion and heat. Drifting between life and death, he dreams of home, playing childhood games with Katara and hearing his mother’s voice, before the dream twists into darkness.
When he wakes, it’s to the face of his supposed enemy: Prince Zuko.
Stranded together on a failing Fire Nation skiff, they’re forced into an uneasy alliance that tests every instinct and belief they’ve ever held.
Just how will Sokka navigate all the obstacles and hardships life throws at him? How much will he have to endure before he runites with Katara?
This series is my love letter to the Avatar: The Last Airbender series. I fell in love with it when it was released back in 2005, and loved it ever since. I intend to rewrite all 3 books of the series with a darker and more mature twist, so join me on this Canon Divergence rewrite!

Three non-related, completed short stories that hurt as much as they are sweet. Sakumo and Kakashi moments that make your heart ache. Not fix-its, but something to soothe the tears.

Summary
Bruce skidded to a halt, breath hissing through his teeth.
Superman’s head came up sharply, like the sound of Bruce’s shock still meant something to him—and it was Clark, but he was different. Different lines on his face, a subtly different curl to his hair, and as he looked Bruce up and down his eyes blew wide.
Bruce’s hand dropped immediately to his belt, a chill sweeping through him. “Not our Kal.”
--
Bruce and Clark have been in a relationship since the founding of the Justice League almost twenty years ago. When the League tries to bring in a thief with stolen reality-shifting technology, Clark is accidentally exchanged with his counterpart from a universe that's almost identical—except he's married to Lois. And they have a son.As each side scrambles to swap their Clarks back, Bruce and Clark find themselves grappling with new questions about their life together, faced with the possibility of things having gone differently for not just the two of them, but their children—the ones they have, and the one they've never met. Along the way, they do their best not to to blow up their counterparts' lives by dredging up any long-buried feelings. (They may or may not succeed at that last.)

I almost didn't read this, because I hate stories with Bruce getting dragged for being human. This was not that story. It made me tear up, over and over again. And, not to throw shade at single-parent households, but yes, parents do a better job of parenting when they have support and a partner. There are studies proving this; on family stability in 2-parent households and how that impacts quality of life, stress levels, health outcomes, children's mental health and resilience, etc. AU Bruce does the best he can on his own but what broke my heart was to see him realize how much better it could have been if he'd just had help.

Summary
Bruce doesn’t know what’s wrong with his child, but he’s pretty sure kids aren’t meant to work like this.
From the day he had looked up into the tops of the circus tent and saw a frightened mirror image of a boy who had just experienced the worst day of his life, Bruce had instantly gone into emergency mode.
The Gotham PD had wanted to pass the boy off into the care of the circus. The circus had mumbled underneath their breaths about superstitions, about not having a boy like that with them, about not being able to handle something like Dick. So GCPD, not knowing what to do, had started talking about one of the handful of overburdened boy homes that handles a majority of Gotham’s unlucky orphans.
All the while, the camera lights flash bright and loud, wanting to know everything.
Bruce couldn’t let that happen.
Not then, not ever again.

Bruce is trying his best to protect the city that he loves. He doesn't know how exactly his Robins came to be- they're not fully human, not even at all. All he knows is that he wants to keep them safe.

This soothed me. Still had all the hallmark plot events, but rounded out--softer, sweeter. I like it ☺️

Summary
Tim is an independent, clever, and super mature eleven-year-old. Unfortunately, his dopey neighbor, Bruce, can’t seem to understand that.
When he decides to disappear on a “solo camping trip” and run away to Canada, he figures it’s the perfect plan that will make everybody happy. He didn’t expect the Waynes would tag along with him and ruin everything.
A six-chaptered tale filled with identity shenanigans, s’mores, soon-to-be-brothers, and a kid who is in desperate need of a new family.

I chortled my way through this. Absolutely adorable! I love when children, especially clever children, are depicted as age-appropriate. It's realistic because no matter how smart and intelligent you are, maturity and wisdom come from experience. Unless you've supplanted consciousness, they shouldn't act like an adult in a small body. I wish they continued this fic, what a cliffhanger to end this on!
