Karma snorted a little, shoving his hands in his pockets. “The girls are practically swooning since you cut your hair. The guys look envious. Apparently, you’re too pretty to handle.”
The words came out with more bite than he’d intended, but he still wasn’t jealous.
“And that makes you angry…because…?” Nagisa trailed off, hoping to encourage more from his boyfriend.
Karma grumbled. “Not angry, just…” Just what? What was he feeling if not jealous? “…nescient.”
Nagisa looked even more baffled than before.
OR: Karma doesn't really see Nagisa for his looks. At all. What he also fails to see is that Nagisa wouldn't want it any other way.

As the others began to talk amongst themselves, all still stunned and struggling to compherend the way Marc just went off on Chloe so fearlessly, Nathaniel pulled Marc aside and whispered to him with a huge grin. “Okay, who are you and what did you do with Marc?”
“…I’m not good at standing up for myself.” Marc explained softly. “But I don’t like watching somebody tear into someone I care about, you know?” Then he flushed and stammered to correct himself. “Some𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨! As in our comic. That- That’s what I meant.”
Nathaniel’s heart soared, threatening to burst out of his chest just so it’d have room to fly even higher. He could only look at Marc with a wobbling smile that was threatening to turn into something embarrassingly tender.

“What the hell? You knew he was avoiding me!?” Boruto asked in disbelief.
Sarada sighed a little. “I was trying to not get involved so you two could work it out yourselves, but you’re oblivious and Mitsuki…”
“What? Mitsuki’s what?” Boruto frowned.
Sarada groaned and stopped walking, looking at him with annoyance. “He’s hurt, Boruto. What do you think?”
Boruto’s eyes widened. “What? By…By me?”
“Yeah, by you! We all were!” Sarada snapped, unable to help herself. Her hands balled into fists in frustration. “You tried to kill yourself, you really think we wouldn’t be bothered by that!?”
“It wasn’t like that!” He protested.
“It was, though.” Sarada bit out. “Maybe you had a noble reason, but you still did it, Boruto! And that…that sucked!”
OR: Boruto learns that when you try to kill yourself to end a war, people get mad at you. It's time for apologies.

Nathaniel rolled his eyes and was about to retort that Marc actually loved horror movies, but Marc beat him to it.
“Oh no, this kind of stuff doesn’t bother me at all, I’ve been through way worse.”
You could actually her the record scratch as everyone’s heads whipped over to look at Marc, who stared back with wide eyes, like a deer caught in headlights. He hated people staring like this.
“Marc, what the hell?”

Kakashi was tired.
A couple times he still second guessed himself. Wondered if it would be better to fail the team and let whatever happens to them happen.
But every time he saw the photo of his old team, he remembered why he couldn’t.
He couldn’t let that happen to them. This system had already screwed them over. The people who were supposed to care for them had done the opposite.
Kakashi wasn’t going to be another adult who let these kids down.
“I don’t know what’s going to happen. And maybe I’ll only make things worse…” Kakashi murmured softly to the framed photo at his bedside. “…But I have to try.”
He had too. Or these pups were as good as dead.
OR: Kakashi realizes how bullshit it is that Team Seven was even a team in the first place, and does things differently. Screw Hiruzen for putting him in this position.

Benny's head whipped to the side to look at Ethan in disbelief, eyebrows furrowed. “You’re kidding, right?”
Ethan hesitated. He didn’t think he sounded so crazy, but Benny was looking at him like he just declared he enjoyed kicking puppies as a past time. He ended up offering a weak shrug.
“And where exactly is this coming from?” Benny questioned, raising an eyebrow. “Are you pouting again because you don’t think you have a shot with her and are trying to convince yourself you’re not interested anymore?”
Ethan groaned. Honestly, he couldn’t say that was an unreasonable conclusion to make. It sounded like the kind of thing he’d do. But still, it frustrated him that the idea was so outrageous. “No, dude, I just… it’s the cookies.”
Benny stared. “I’m sorry?”

Arceus, how could Satoshi ask something like that so casually? Gou could barely talk about feminine products, and he’s the one who used them.
“Ran out.” Gou muttered. “I’ll go get some when the meds kick in.”
Satoshi looked at him like he was crazy, and then he looked stern. “You’re not going around like this. Hang on, maybe…” Satoshi grabbed his backpack off the top bunk bed and dug around. He beamed. “Ah, here!”
He held out a tampon.
A tampon.
Gou stared at it, and then at Satoshi.
“You…why do…what?”
Satoshi chuckled. “I’ve traveled around with a lot of different girls. It’s just a curtesy thing, be prepared and all. I didn’t think I had any left from my time in Alola but I guess I did.” He smiled. “I should probably restock though, for times like this.”
OR: Gou gets cramps and Satoshi is the best boyfriend ever.

Collector couldn’t help getting giddy at the idea of getting presents. They’d been working really hard to be a better person this last year, and Luz and the others seemed to think they were making great progress.
They only turned people into toys like fifteen times in the last year! That’s a personal best.
