Summary
Kris stared at her. They couldn’t speak for a moment, eyes poring over Susie. A part of them couldn’t believe she was actually here, sitting in front of them with a wild gaze. She was soaked, droplets falling from her hair, the jacket over her shoulders turned dark from the water. Had she really braved the rain and wind in the dark of night just because ‘it didn’t feel right leaving’? Kris was silent and unmoving before they ducked their head, running a hand over their face. They peered up at her again, palm clutched over their mouth as their cheeks threatened to tighten with a smile, but Kris took a deep breath and composed themself. They let their hand fall into their lap.
“My… sweater?” They repeated, their words coming out in a low mumble. Their head turned a sliver to the side, and Susie followed the motion and looked in the corner. Through the dark, she could just barely make out the green sweater thrown over the birdcage.i.e., Susie and a soulless Kris reflect on the events of Chapter 4 and their relationship with each other.

Sunny screamed. He watched Monty approach faster, the other yelling something but the words not reaching him. He was much too scared to listen, god forbid he gets caught now, this guy was gonna rip him to pieces! Wasn’t Monty the one that was popular amongst the rascals? It was always the little ones tearing up other kids’ drawings and pushing people that seemed to adorn those familiar star glasses.
“Oh stars, oh stars–” Sunny hoisted the box in his arms before looking one way and then the other. He twirled around looking for an exit in his panic before just deciding to go back the way he came. So, with another fearful look towards the gator, Sunny turned and broke out into a sprint.
Monty slowed in place for a moment, watching as the sun darted away and disappeared toward the stairs. His eyes widened, and he was momentarily stunned before he picked up in a run after him. “HEY!”Or, Sun ventures outside of the Daycare for the first time. Shenanigans ensue! :^]

Summary
So what if he took care of himself a bit better than the others, so what if he had a better skin care routine, let alone have one at all to begin with. That didn’t make him any less of a man and eventually the others backed off, but god, he was just contradicting himself with this one.
Matt couldn’t help it, though. God, he really really couldn’t when the dress he had on hugged his middle so perfectly.

Tom cleared his throat, giving an idle glance behind him toward the empty hallway before turning back to Edd. "I just got back from... I heard you in here, and uh, came to see."
Tom's words fell quiet toward the end, and he huffed, turning his gaze off toward one of the piles of swept-up dust. There was a second of radio silence before Edd responded, sweeping the dust he gathered from the couch into a corner.
"I'm just cleaning, I want everything proper today. I got an energy burst earlier since I'm all excited, heh." The tallest of the pair gave out a pleased sigh, leaning the broom against the wall. He clapped his hands together, wiping off any crumbs and dust that had stuck to his palms. He smiled. "Aren't you?"

In hindsight, it probably would've been better if Sokka had realised he was in love with Zuko at literally any time before this. Or preferably, never fallen for his best friend in the first place.

Oh my god. Oh my GOD oh my god. Oh my god. Like, the more i kept reading, the better it got. Im in such a weird hesdspace rn and everything but this was so beautiful i couldnt put it down. Absolutely awesome amazing character study. Zuko analysis was great, the way u actually made me feel for jet too despite the shitty person he is/was? Muah, chefs kiss. The way zuko can see sokka thinking things through and knows hes smart but still not dismissing the way sokka is canonically dorky and funny. I dont even have enough words to explain how i feel about uncle iroh as well. Everybody. Every single fucking character felt right and every line was written with love.
I fucking love this so bad im bawling.Sorry for the long rant here, im trying to learn to actually leave my thoughts and opinions on these but am too nervous to comment. Any ways 100/10, awesome fic, would recommend. Was also tragic to see this was the only atla fic this author has but alas, this will keep me joyous and be desr to me whenever rememebered. <333
