His ears strained for any other sound to alert him of his present location, but all he could hear was the chatter of the nurses in the corridor, a set of feet pacing in the far corner of the room, and the hiccups of a young child standing barely a foot away from him.
"Where in the world am I?" He thought for the umpteenth time.
