Summary
Once upon a time humankind and magical creatures like dragons, minotaurs, krakens, giants and others, agreed on a pact.
It came with rules and traditions that kept the balance in this world for a long, long time.
Crowley, a shapeshifting dragon, has been part of this system for as long as he could remember.
He guarded the castle, protected the princess and followed the given rules (with a certain amount of creative interpretation that is).
But when a certain knight arrives, who isn't particularly interested in the role given to him, the story begins to shift and a rather unusual arrangement unfurls.

Summary
Aziraphale doesn't hear the footsteps that powered across the quiet of the room. He doesn't notice the speedy movements of the man dressed in black against the pale moonlight. He doesn't catch the way slender fingers pocketed his glasses before gripping onto the lapels of his delicate coat, or the way the air around him had condensed to fit in the tiny space between his own body and another.
All he could feel at the moment were Crowley’s lips pressed against him haphazardly.
His dreams couldn't have been more wrong.

Crowley was just trying to do his job, to disassemble the cult he was once a part of. Imagine his surprise when he finds his old childhood friend (well, not a friend anymore) from thousands of years ago, still alive and well. As undying as he is, he doubts he would be able to survive Aziraphale this time.

“I’m going through an emotional time!” Crowley protests. “Emotions that consist of: anger, fury, disgust, annoyance, did I mention anger? Lots of emotions, poor me!”
“Oh, I couldn’t tell.” Aziraphale rolls his eyes. “I’m glad you shared these emotions with me. Now, can we have a productive conversation so we can actually deal with the problem at hand?”
“You have a low-frame Tuxedo three-seater sofa with a chaise lounge in the middle of your bookshop - I am not the one with a problem here.”
Oh, that really is worrisome, especially considering the fact that Aziraphale is 95 % sure the new sofa had been a two-seater when Gabriel had miracled it into existence.
Gabriel and Beelzebub break up. To the annoyance of Crowley and Aziraphale, it somehow becomes their problem.
