He knew this was intense, but it was what he wanted and Price had told him to be honest or it wasn’t worth it. By the way Ghost’s eyes widened, the way his pupils dilated, the way his breath caught and his hips tried to get friction against loose joggers, Soap thought it might be what Ghost wanted too.

Snow whipped around them both in a frenzy. It was all Soap could do to keep putting one foot in front of the other, dragging them both forward as frost nipped at his bones. Wind slammed them from all sides, roaring through the bare trees and covering Soap's footsteps as quickly as he made them. Claw-like branches grabbed at him and Ghost, but he didn't dare stop, no matter how hard they tried to force him back.
Stopping meant death.
And Soap wasn't about to let the man he loved freeze and be left forgotten in no-man's-land.

Trapped in a collapsing blind and battered by days of snow and silence, Soap is fraying at the seams—cold, half-mad, and absolutely convinced his lieutenant is some cocked-up apparition of a man. The members of TF-141 find out and instead of chasing him off with pitchforks and torches, they accept it and move on. Except Soap, who is obsessed with it.

Soap freezes. For once, he looks genuinely caught off guard, his cigarette paused mid-air as he stares at Ghost. Then his lips twitch into a smirk—slow and deliberate, like he’s been waiting for this.
“Where?” Soap asks, his voice darker now, lower.
Ghost doesn’t flinch. “Anywhere you want... just...”
Soap tuts softly, stepping into Ghost’s personal space, his boots crunching against the gravel. He leans close, close enough that Ghost is forced to tilt his head back, the wall pressing cold against him.
“C’mon,” Soap murmurs, his fingers trailing along Ghost’s jawline, tipping his chin higher. “You can do better than that.”
Ghost shivers. His voice is barely audible when he whispers, “Please… stub your cig out on me.”
