Admittedly they'd both been a bit in their cups by then, but Lister sort of thinks he gets it. Some of his favourite parts of sex had little to do with the actual act itself and more to do with the desperation of being close to someone, of breathing the same air and sharing the same body for a bit. Don't get him wrong, sex was great, but it was the little things that really made it; a hand holding you closer, losing all sense of time outside the other person, the cuddling after where you laze about in bed naked with each other, vulnerable but safe. All things Rimmer's never experienced—and stuff Lister's probably not up to giving him, truthfully.
Not all of it, anyway…but maybe some of it.
"Okay, don't bite me head off," Lister starts cautiously, wiping his hands on his green cargo shorts, "But I'm gonna put something on the table…metaphorically, that is."
Rimmer, predictably, says nothing.
Lister licks his lips and thinks he should just come out with it, cause worst comes to worst at least it'll definitely make Rimmer start talking to him again.
"I think you should put me prick in your mouth."
