Summary
Before the world was new, it ended. Fables tell of two lovers, the last survivors of the apocalypse. The Lady fell first, bitten by an Infected in order to protect her lover. Now, she sleeps, eternally, hidden from the new world and waiting for the time when she can wake and claim it as her own, as promised by the gods. The Lord then fell. First, to despair, as he lost his true love, then, to the Infected, having given up to join his lover in death. Now, as the First Slime, he waits, guarding his sleeping beloved as he lets his Slimes into the world, hoping to one day find the one to wake his love so they can take their rightful places as rulers, once and for all.
Tommy just wants to know what’s going on. Why is Slimecicle talking about two ancient beings and acting like it’s Tommy’s job to release them? Why is Technoblade willing to join them in bringing in a government?! Why is he having nightmares of dead things and hearing voices in his head?

Athena Pines, after having been left in Gotham by her Uncle Stan while he tries to figure out the portal to bring her father back, thrives, having been adopted by the local Bat after arresting her Uncle Stanley’s friend for being a Joker goon. Now 40, she gets a summons back from the very man that left her, telling her that the Shack, and subsequently, her father’s only way back, has been stolen by a tiny tyrant. Now she has to help anyway she can. With her husband Jason Todd, and sons Damien, Danny, and Tommy Wayne, and her son’s bodyguard in tow. (Inspired by the song I Can’t Help But Wonder, from Epic! The Musical, where oc is Telemachus and Ford is Odysseus)
Tommyinnit has been forced to leave his home in order to escape from the Eggpire. When his adoptive mother gets word her childhood home has been stolen from under her estranged uncle’s feet, he resolves to help her get it back no matter what. He just hopes his niece is having a better time.

What Danny had been expecting that morning was the normal day to day slog through meetings, hearings and paperwork that had long since become routine. Many ghosts had even approached him with requests for aid over the years, ranging from territory disputes to wanting help locating a lost item. But in the more than two centuries since his official coronation, he’d never had a request of this magnitude. Neither in scope, or personal favor.
No, instead of the usual parade of never ending favor-seekers (or let’s be honest, ass kissers) during his daily court, he’d been approached by a young, newly dead couple that clutched one another's' hands tightly as they drifted over to him. They bowed respectfully, as was custom, before the husband blurted out something that had the whole of the normally chatty court fall silent.
“We need you to raise our orphaned son.”
