He shuddered at the thought of it having been something like shame or embarrassment! How utterly pathetic, just to consider it. That golden wing of hers mocked him and made the wounds on his arm ache. Clearly it was because of the annoyance of having fallen in to another debt after he'd just broken two of them. He'd get it settled and not have to think of her again. Since he'd been doing that nearly constantly as of late. Not that he had been doing that. That would be silly.
