Seawatt’s lips start to meet the parkour God’s neck in response. “Focus on everything else. Just feel the water. See? Not that hard.” His smirk draws a mark curiously onto the nape, then he breathes in the scent of shampoo that slimmed down during the process. “Now, now,” He closes his eyes and makes his way to one of the ears, “Where do you want me to touch next?”

Gigi does not cry. Not when it’s departure hour. She considers them bad luck. “Here I have this. Think about it until you reach Immerheim. Maybe you’ll listen to it when you want me–” Gigi wants to say ‘-so bad’ at the end. She cannot do it, though. Those two words are reserved for the right moment. This moment already needs so much salty water.
“What is it?” Cecilia asks. Afterwards, she hears a ding in her dress pocket. She pulls out her phone.
A smile. A little. But there. On Gigi’s face. Spells like LOVE. Capital. On those misty lips. “Remember when we used to share songs on Spotify?” Cecilia nods and Gigi continues. This, the two will remember. Period. “Have this one, it’s the playlist we’ve made ever since you made me cry on our first day. Do you think that was a meet-cute? Like, destiny wants us to tease each other?”

Departure is always a hard thing to swallow.
So Gigi decides to give Cecilia something to remind her. Erase all the bad memories and put in new ones, even if it is slower through the tears.

“Everything?” Evbo tilted his head. The sun was above them and he and Seawatt too were outlined by pure light, accentuated in quite importance. The stream of heat unpacked itself onto his skin and he thought it fit Seawatt better. He slanted back. His master friend and that parkour pro had already disappeared from line of sight.
“Everything.” Seawatt laughed. He lifted his finger back from pointing after he scooted backward a few steps. Then he laid on his back, hands behind his head as a pillow. His breath was laggard, lips speared into a line. “Name a parkour champion who is happy.”
Evbo looked at the man, mirth spreaded all over that face. Gosh, he wanted to lean down with a kiss prepared on his lips. He shook that thought away.
“I don’t think there’s ever one.”
Seawatt’s laugh became smooth. “Think again.”

Sometimes for them, there was no gaps, no spaces, no in-betweens.
It's a feeling, a constant, and it was Seawatt that defined it to Evbo then. On the ground, in the air. Everywhere but the void.
