You've heard the story before. Being a demigod isn’t just glory, and wealth and fame and power- not even in the ancient days if you look back on it. No famous demigod has ever gotten to be happy, and the demigods that did? Well they’ve been forgotten by history of course.
The life of a demigod is blood and gore and trauma and constantly looking over your shoulder never knowing if each breath that rattles in your chest will be your last. It’s a thankless, cursed thing, something that takes more than it gives. It's a punishment for daring to be born. If you want anything? You have to bleed for it. Not just the glory or fame- you have to bleed just to be able to have the chance your parent will just look at you. Most demigods are willing to risk it all just for that- not Dennis.
