Summary
The third time Soap compromises a mission with his hot temper and trigger finger, Price makes it clear that either Ghost can rein Soap in before their next loadout, or Price will.
Price says it like he’d be the worse one of two evils.
Ghost isn’t so sure that’s the case, but he slaps Price on the shoulder and accepts his responsibility as solemnly as he can fake it.

Summary
“You don’t need anyone,” Ghost continues, his fingers finding the hem of Soap’s tee and the skin under it, and Soap is pretty sure he’s losing his mind.
“I needed you,” he admits, voice impossibly low with the remainder of the anger that’s been eating at him. “I wanted you there with me. And I wanted you to want me back.”

Summary
He was never meant to be out this far out, in a rural town he'd never heard of before. He also never meant to catch the attention of a man with a body in his van.
Trapped in a room, on an isolated property deep in the outback, Sam's hope for survival is dwindling by the day.
Until it isn't.
(Chapter fourteen is the old chapter thirteen. I've split chapter one into two because it got too long. Part 2 is coming.)

Bookmarker's Notes
This is incredibly dark, but also extremely well written and I would say the character development is interesting even though it hurts my heart a fair bit. I think this is one of those stories that will stick with me, but I honestly don't know if I would be able to read through it again in the future, because it’s very much a thriller with a lot of whump. Regardless, many, many Kudos to the author for really having both the guts and the talent to write such a story that is so genuine and terrifying. it’s really well done, maintains great momentum and I'd say it's worth the read if you have a strong stomach.
