The boiling isles wasn't such a nice place for a human to grow up and raised in the early years of Lucia and how such events changed her personality of nice and loveable girl to a cool hearted bitch.

Oguri Cap has always run, simply because she could. At Kasamatsu, she forged her dream in a mirror to Jo Kitahara. The Teiou Derby. But the world would not simply allow a talent like hers to stifle itself in regionals. Tokyo awaited, and Symboli Rudolf demanded her attendance.
She was to be ripped away from her hometown, her trainer, and her tracks, to compete at Tokyo Tracen. Ripped away by a girl who thought she knew better for her, and then told her she could not compete in the dream she attempted to build from the shattered pieces of her previous one.
So she set a new dream, and had a new goal for running. She would prove Symboli Rudolf right. But she would do so by conquering the Emperor herself. After all, if she were to be great, then she may as well be the greatest.

Summary
The 2001 G1 Hong Kong Vase. At the front of everyone's minds for it is Japan's representative, Stay Gold. This is her last chance to prove herself and win a Grade One victory, after six years of falling just short of victory over and over again. But Stay Gold only has one thing on her mind, and that is catching a glimpse of a golden scenery.
Though, after so many years of just barely missing it, she's just about accepted that it might be impossible. Perhaps it'd be fine if she moves on after her final race, passing the reigns to someone else to see the incredible view she's been wandering around to search for. Or perhaps she'll follow the memories of "the other Stay Gold", and she'll finally witness a view that belongs to only her.
Well, there's no use thinking about it so much. The journey's been fun, so let's just see it to the end.
