Neither of us dismissed the rumors, yet none of our interactions thus far had been indicative of any form of attraction beyond platonic between us. Sure, Jordan often draped herself over me or I would press a kiss to her temple, but there was no heated feelings of attraction beneath the actions. At least, I had thought we both felt the same on that front. That was before Jordan pushed me into an empty guest bedroom during one of Gatsby’s parties.”

After his misconduct in Eden, Aziraphale is sentenced to death. Of course, he only realized that when Death arrived on the Wall to take him away. As for Death, he can’t help but be endeared by Aziraphale’s determination and love for humankind. He decides to not do his job and let the angel live. At least, he attempts too, but even Death has some rules he has to follow.

Summary
Unlike talking about having kids or religious beliefs, this definitely was not a normal couple’s hurdle they would have to cross. Their lifestyles had never supported upholding traditional values anyway. Not Sugar, the world’s soon to be next big film star who has never been allowed a good seat at the movies. Not Joe, who up till this point has schemed his whole way through life. And certainly not newly-renamed Daphne. It was just a matter of explaining that to Sugar.
Or: Sugar questions what Daphne and Joe’s relationship is.

“Heads up, someone’s coming down from pedes to take a look at our baby Jane Doe.” Dana says, phone tucked between her ear and shoulder. Robby feels his entire body stiffen.
“Oh?” He says, trying to go for casual as he leans up against the desk. He looks up at the glowing board above the two of them, scanning for his patients. “Do we know who?”
Dana levels a look at him as she hangs up the phone, a smile tugging at the corners of her lips.
“The one and only.” She glances over at the black thermos sitting innocently next to them, a bright yellow sticker faded with some age, corners curling, with bold letters saying ‘good job’.
“Ah. Right.”
