Summary
Bucks not out as transgender to a single soul, that doesn’t exactly make his job easy, though. He works in close quarters with his coworkers, and it becomes even harder as his coworkers turn into family, especially as one grump melds into his life, like he was always there.

Summary
A hand clasped on his shoulder with a comfortable familiarity that jerked Eddie out of his stupor. He spun around, heart racing in his chest.
Buck stood over him, smiling that easy smile and wearing that nice blue jumper that matched his eyes.
“Buck?” It came out choked and pathetic.
Buck laughed like this wasn’t the most embarrassing thing that ever happened.
Buck chuckled. “Hey.” He lowered himself into the chair. He looked confused but also somewhat pleased, cheeks pink and Eyes fond. “I didn’t think you would come to an event like this.”
“I didn’t mean to.” Eddie comes out with all at once, words bursting out of his mouth. “I signed up when I was drunk. I didn’t know it was for bisexuals.”
Buck blinked slowly before he burst out laughing.'

Eddie, in a fit of jealousy over Buck's successful sex life, signs up for speed dating. He doesn't realise it is an event for bisexuals until it's too late. He plans to ride the awful night out and pretend it never happened until he spots Buck.

Summary
Buck's always easy for Eddie. Which, again, is the reason why they're in this predicament. Eddie holds up his glass for Buck to clink his against. "Congratulations, Buck. You're going to be a father."
Eddie's expecting a lot of possible emotions. He's not expecting sheer horror. Buck manages to choke out, "You're dying?”
Buck's into the bargaining stage, saying that they'll talk to doctors and do everything they can for him before Eddie's brain comes back online and he interrupts Buck. "I'm pregnant."
Buck's eyes widen. That's a lot more like the reaction Eddie planned for. Hoped for, even. “Ed–Eddie.”
Eddie, for the first time all day, lets his hands settle over his stomach. Right now, there’s a baby in there. His and Buck’s.
Buck knocks Eddie up. This isn't the first time Eddie's faced an unplanned pregnancy with a best friend. He's determined not to repeat his mistakes, but that's easier said than done.

Summary
So, okay, it makes perfect sense and it's new and terrifying, but it still doesn't feel like the point. Because this is not about him liking men, this is about the man he's in love with. And somehow, against all expectations, liking men doesn't feel as big a deal as loving Buck.
Or; Where Chris agrees right away to live with Eddie as they mend their relationship, but Eddie can't seem to stop feeling unsettled. Until he figures out why.

Summary
Bobby slaps both gloved palms against the glass. “What are you saying, Buck?”
Buck doesn’t reply. He won’t meet Bobby’s eyes. He bows his head a little, reaching for the latch on his helmet.
“Buck!” Cold dread spills into the sockets of all of Bobby’s joints. “What are you doing!”
Buck fumbles to release the lock, but he gets it on the second try.
“Put your helmet back on! Kid!”

Embark with me on an angsty journey as we imagine a universe in which it was not Bobby who was infected with CCHF, but Buck. That means Buck was stuck inside with the team in 8x14 and 8x15 while Bobby was running around outside with Athena. And Buck didn't tell anyone he'd been exposed. Let’s assume everything else is the same. Oh, except no one’s dying this time because I said so.
