Summary
Toshinori's last wish had been for Shouta to take the boy on as his padawan, and for the life of him, Shouta couldn't figure out why. He and Izuku were nothing alike. The boy was all nervous energy and bright smiles, while Shouta was more stoic and relaxed. Toshinori had been a hero, the best of the Jedi knights, and Izuku was quickly following in his footsteps. The two had practically been chosen by the Force to lead the galaxy into a new age of peace.
But then the Sith rose, and Toshinori had died defending the capital, and Izuku came back to the Temple saying that Toshinori had told him, with his dying breaths, to seek out Shouta and become his padawan, and Shouta had agreed. What else was he supposed to do? Ignore a dying man's wishes? Leave the kid alone when he was clearly struggling? Shouta might not have taken a padawan before, but he could recognize the lost look in Izuku's eyes, and Shouta had resolved to drag him back from the brink, no matter how long it took.

Izuku normally doesn't struggle to write essays for class. He really shouldn't be struggling during the section on 'Quirks and Society,' but everyone else got awesome topics, and Izuku had gotten 'Quirkless Discrimination.' Izuku isn't sure how to separate his past from the assignment and inadvertently makes his teachers aware of what he went through growing up. Before he knows it, everything's out in the open and no one else but him is content to let the past stay in the past.

Summary
Reborn as Midoriya Izuku with memories of a prior life intact, this particular soul overrides genetics. Even with an extra toe joint, this Midoriya Izuku uncovers a somewhat subtle Quirk of their own. They have a Quirk, but they’re not saying a word. They’re functionally Quirkless for the most part, anyway.
Until One For All is added to the equation, enabling their own Quirk to work on themself as well rather than only on others.
In which Midoriya Izuku has a Quirk, and is maybe more bitter over being alive than being labeled Quirkless due to society being complete and utterly unobservant assholes.

The profilers had determined the Ripper was a young man, white, with a strong sense of morality but one that didn’t necessarily fit into what others may consider moral. They said he lived at home with his parents, was likely un- or underemployed, well-educated, possibly a philosophy major in college. Clear knowledge of forensics. Obsessive and detail-oriented, possibly compulsively clean and neat. Few friends, no significant other. A loner. Bland face and personality, easy to hide in crowds.They couldn't have been more wrong about that.
