When she came back two minutes later, her expression was already in doctor mode. “It’s Matty,” she said quietly. “Five years old. Leukemia. He took a bad turn this afternoon. I have to go.”

    Shane can’t understand it. Ilya can’t understand it. No one knows who started it. But it’s happening.

    After Ilya and Shane are outed, someone on the internet decides that Shane bagging “the dangerously sexy Russian bear” means that he’s a sex goddess (yes, a fucking godDESS) and a babygirl and a daddy and a walking, talking thirst trap and all sorts of other things Shane doesn’t even want to know about. It's embarrassing and it’s annoying and it’s really, really weird.

    Luckily Shane and Ilya have Harris, Centaurs’ nice and savvy social media manager. Harris tries to keep the highspeed train on the rails, but the internet doesn’t get his memo. And when the free and welcoming atmosphere of his new team slowly lures the real Shane Hollander out of his shell, Harris’s plan falls flat on its face. And there’s a real danger that Harris himself might follow.

    “I want to tell people, and I want to tell the world. And I want to leave Montreal and I want to join the Centaurs.”
