Something clenches in his chest, and elation hooks a chandelier over the dim, cold classroom lamps, and Neil becomes aware of a yearning, brighter and brighter, that implores him, begs on its knees to speak—and dear God—he wants, and wants, and wants so much that it clenches his hands into fists and his mouth into a line and squeezes life out of him, there to be found yet—and to be an actor, even miles away from a stage, is a prospect as heartbreaking as it’s possible, because now the stage is right in front of him and it’s almost pathetic, is pathetic, how much he wants to feel the words (drip from his tongue, like honey).

Summary
When bandits kidnap Merlin, Arthur and the knights, a truth serum brings light to more than one of the sorcerer's secrets. Back in Camelot, Arthur's reaction to either of them is overshadowed by two nobles arriving. As always, the guests pose a threat, and Merlin and Arthur have to figure out their feelings towards each other as well as their self-sacrificing tendencies.

“Woah- Will.” He jumped to his feet, stumbling to look over Will’s shaking shoulder at the now smeared surface. “Shit… this is really…”
“Sad…” “Poignant…”
They spoke at the same time, Will turning to Mike with a confused crinkle on his nose bridge.
“English major.” Will huffed with a weary grin, his hazel eyes flicking across Mike’s speckled face. “You’re so pretentious.” He teased, jabbing the taller man’s chest. A smile passed between them, the room suddenly very warm.
“Will- You know you could’ve just asked me to model for you right?”
“Yeah I know…”
“...But?”
“...But…” Will had started to dip his brushes into the stained cup of murky water. “I need my model to be-” He’d posed for Will in the past, it wasn’t something new. “I need a nude model.”
