In this AU the Legend of Korra story unfolded in a different way. While still in the White Lotus compound Korra was forced to stop Unalaq's plan but her choice to leave the Spirit Portals opened send ripples throughout the world. Discontent at the current situation is causing more and more people to join the clandestine Equalist movement. With Korra deciding to stop hiding and come to Republic City, what welcome will await her?

Season 2 of Korra took place before Season 1, though it probably proceeded in a different way. Harmonic Convergence happened so new Airbenders, yey. Korra finally comes to Republic City among major unrest related to the Spirit Portals being open, the emergence of spirits and Spirit Vines. And Asami is an Equalist. And a new Airbender. But she doesn't know the last part. Yet.

But when casting lists, late-night rehearsals, even later-night bar shifts, crazy parties, and a disastrous roommate shuffle keep throwing them together, rivalry starts looking a lot like chemistry.
But let's face it, everything looks like chemistry if you add some Shakespeare.

A Rashemaar Monk of Four Elements, a Baldurian Artificer and a Githyanki Paladin are dragged into an illithid nautiloid and implanted with mind flayer tadpoles.
It's not a beginning of a joke, but of a multi-chapter fic where characters based on the cast of LoK go through events similar (but not identical!) to those from Baldur's Gate 3. The further we go, the more I'll be diverging from both canons. In their quest to free themselves of the parasite our protagonists will meet other characters and face a conspiracy intending to change... everything.

Summary
A war in the shadows! All over the Galaxy, Force-sensitives are being targeted and kidnapped by a mysterious enemy! The Jedi Order, still reeling after the humiliating defeat and the capture of Padawan Jinora, suspects the sinister Red Lotus to be behind this new danger.
As numerous Red Lotus cells activate throughout the Galaxy, the Jedi Order continues their search for their lost Padawan and for the Red Lotus elusive mastermind, Za Heer. Various trails lead to the places where the Force is strong, making the Jedi forces scatter as they try to intercept the Red Lotus before they can put their grand plan into motion.
With Jedi Korra being sent to a backwater as punishment for her actions, her comrade Bolin is sent on a diplomatic mission, while the Future Industries heiress, Asami Sato is trying to implement her own plan, unaware that it might lead her into conflict with a new enemy…

Korra and Bolin are young, freshly knighted Jedi Knights, sent to help a missing Padawan, Jinora.
Asami Sato is the heir of the largest corporation in the Galaxy.
Mako is a mysterious Dark Jedi with a shady past.
Their paths cross and they're all soon drawn into conflict with the Force-hating Equalists led by the charismatic Amon and a rogue Jedi Za Heer and his sinister Red Lotus...
Plenty of references to Knights of the Old Republic, games as well as comics!
