Withers tried to be an unbiased watcher of fates. And yet, he detested watching Orin. Such, a boring creature without any nuance. And she died as she had lived: alone, unwanted and unloved. Discarded as garbage by Sarevok and Bhaal alike.

And yet with the actions of the Tav and Gale, Orin was given a chance to make different choices. A tiny chance, but a chance nevertheless.
Once, Withers would have waved his skeletal hand and did his best to forget about her, sure that nothing such a shallow, brutal, violent creature could do would surprise him.
The recent events, however, showed him that sometimes mortals could prove to be full of surprises. Sometimes things could be found in the grand tapestry of fate that no one could have predicted.
Sometimes the Fateful Coin landed on its edge.
And maybe, just maybe, a changeling could – what was the saying? Ah! – change her spots.

Summary
A Rashemaar Monk of Four Elements, a Baldurian Artificer and a Githyanki Paladin are dragged into an illithid nautiloid and implanted with mind flayer tadpoles.
It's not a beginning of a joke, but of a multi-chapter fic where characters based on the cast of LoK go through events similar (but not identical!) to those from Baldur's Gate 3. The further we go, the more I'll be diverging from both canons. In their quest to free themselves of the parasite our protagonists will meet other characters and face a conspiracy intending to change... everything.

Korra’s been the department’s golden girl (and resident heartbreaker) for over a year — and she’s not about to let some ex–movie star steal her stage. But when casting lists, late-night rehearsals, even later-night bar shifts, crazy parties, and a disastrous roommate shuffle keep throwing them together, rivalry starts looking a lot like chemistry.
But let's face it, everything looks like chemistry if you add some Shakespeare.

In this AU the Legend of Korra story unfolded in a different way. While still in the White Lotus compound Korra was forced to stop Unalaq's plan but her choice to leave the Spirit Portals opened send ripples throughout the world. Discontent at the current situation is causing more and more people to join the clandestine Equalist movement. With Korra deciding to stop hiding and come to Republic City, what welcome will await her?

Season 2 of Korra took place before Season 1, though it probably proceeded in a different way. Harmonic Convergence happened so new Airbenders, yey. Korra finally comes to Republic City among major unrest related to the Spirit Portals being open, the emergence of spirits and Spirit Vines. And Asami is an Equalist. And a new Airbender. But she doesn't know the last part. Yet.

Expect alcohol, traumatic pasts, bad decisions, seedy nightclubs, corrupt cops, even more corrupt politicians, strippers and exotic dancers with hearts of gold, femme fatales, washed-up detectives (both police and private ones), corporate moguls of questionable loyalty, betrayals and lies.
Lots of betrayals and lies.
And frequent mentions of how Naga is a good girl. Yes, she is!
