Summary
Her wife had recently started a new job in the Emerald City, hence their new living situation. The new scenery was a bit strange still, but Glinda wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world. She looked down at the glittering green city as she hummed. Sunset always lit up the semi-transparent buildings with the loveliest of colors. It reminded her of Elphaba’s skin in the mornings, glowing in dawn light as she slept.
She plucked a few tomatoes from the plant on the windowsill, making a mental note to ask her wife to coax a few more flowers to grow. As the water boiled, she set out chopping and mixing in all the ingredients for their favorite sauce. Just as she set the mixture on to cook, the door clicked open.
Elphaba walked in with a small bouquet of poppies, hanging her hat and broom on a peg by the wall and smiling.
“Hello, my sweet.”//////////////////
Or, Glinda and Elphaba have a new life in the Emerald City and everything is totally perfect. But Glinda finds that she wants more.

Summary
Glinda wasn’t really sure what made her do it. All she knew was that she hung up the phone to silence her mother’s screams, took a right at an intersection where she normally turned left, and found herself in front of a tattoo shop.
The sign read “Oz’s Oddities” in that classic font that every tattoo studio seemed to use. A bit cliche, but it had caught her eye. She’d never gotten a tattoo before. The pain had been a slight deterrent, but more than anything it was the threat of being cut off from her parents’ money if she ever came home with anything more than simple earlobe piercings.But now she was cut off. Her ex was dragging her name through the mud to all their friends, she’d graduated college, and found herself alone with no job, a lease ending in two weeks, and no more allowance.

Elphaba touched down inside the treehouse, soft moss silencing her landing. Yellow light filled the space, though it would be dark before long. With a flick of her wrist, everything returned to its rightful place. Her cloak and hat hung themselves neatly on a row of tree roots she had coaxed to grow like hooks. Her boots slipped off, sitting by the long stretch of trunk that served as her launch point when she flew. The broom, still buzzing under her hands, settled easily next to her boots, its bristles straightening themselves out after a long fly. Elphaba watched, one eyebrow cocked. The thing wasn’t alive, exactly, but it certainly had opinions about how well she maintained its aging wood.
Slinging her bag over her shoulder, she pinned the new poster up to the wall, stepping back with a sigh.
“You’d think that after this long, they would give up on the story that you kidnapped me.”

Fiyero doesn't complain about the broom's speed. Not the way that Glinda would have. Glinda would’ve shrieked and clawed at Elphaba’s sides. “Elphie! Slow down! We’re on the run, but this is positively terrorizing!” Elphaba's comparisons don't stop there. Fiyero winces as Elphie’s nails dig into his back. But Elphaba knows that Glinda would’ve gasped, groaned. “It’s fine. I can take it.” She has a bit of trouble staying in this moment, with him, tonight.
