Summary
Every time a character in my shows discovered their soulmate, they fell into a dramatic and typically fraught romance. Would that happen to me? Would the appearance of a soulmark mean I would start liking romance and want to do sex things? The resulting involuntary cringe I found my body doing was answer enough to that. Luckily I was alone in the security ready room and the only SecUnit on this survey so I could have all of my emotions in private.
And wow, was I having all of my emotions.

Summary
You’re doing fine, SecUnit. What’s the issue?
I don’t take care of things. Just kill them. This is not how I was built to function.
I’m sure you know that’s a lie.
Murderbot reluctantly pet sits for Gurathin, recovering pre-memory wipe memories in the process.

Summary
“I wanted to ask you something,” Bharadwaj said. “You don’t have to tell me if you don’t want to.”
That was never a promising way to start a sentence. But I said, “Okay,” anyway, because I was a fool.
“You never refer to the Company by name,” she said. I tensed. “You always just call it “the Company.” Is there a reason for that?”
