When Ranma Saotome was five, he asked his mother to teach him how to cook. Instead, she sent him to go practice kata with his father. When Ranma Saotome was seven, he tore a hole in his gi, and asked his mother to teach him how to fix it. Instead, she told him to put on a new gi while she fixed his ruined one.
