Katsuki looks on quietly as the setting sun casts orange rays on Deku’s fluttering lashes and uncovers new shades of green throughout his unruly hair. It reminds him of simple hours spent out in the grass at the consummation of summer, the autumn wind just beginning to pass through their town.
The realization comes, then, as he looks upon a sleeping Izuku, that when he tries to imagine his life void of this boy, he cannot.-
