“You claim I can’t turn you on with a lap dance. I can refute it and insist on the opposite. Say I’ve done it many times before at my job, and that I’m confident in my abilities. But what are claims without proof?”
Kaoru’s eyes darkened, the corner of his lip tugging upward.
“I’ll make you an example.”
It started with a drunken bet. One moment, they were caught up in a useless argument with neither side backing down. In the next, Kojiro found himself seated and watching Kaoru as he stripped and danced for him alone. He wasn’t quite sure how he ended up in such a situation. But he certainly didn’t want to get out of it.

Summary
Kojiro is a young and misguided royal whose nation is in disarray. He inherited his family's titles as well as their problems. Advisors are encouraging him to be less distracted by his harem and accept a political marriage to reinforce the stability of his reign. All of these suggestions fall on deaf ears until a lovely fan dancer is brought to the palace. Cherry Blossom remains a mystery to him, making him all the more enticing.
But what Kojiro doesn't know might actually kill him, because Sakurayashiki Kaoru has plans to end the entire Nanjo family line. He can kill with petty gossip just as well as he can with an arsenal of poisons and knives, and he intends to.

Summary
when Reki is suddenly swept up in the tidal wave that is Langa, a freakin real life mermaid (--er merman, boy? he keeps messing that up), his life does a railslide into the ridiculous. but if the impossible is, well, possible, then letting the merdude hop on a board couldn't hurt, could it? something about Langa makes Reki absolutely ready and willing to test that theory.
