Summary
Hikaru had been the ideal alpha boy, brave and funny and kind, with a sense of responsibility that even the adults couldn't help but praise. In contrast, the thing that stumbled down the mountains in Hikaru's body wasn't just secretely a monster but was also not nearly secretive enough about how he was changing slowly into an omega in a village that absolutely couldn't accept that kind of wish.
No matter how desperate Yoshiki might be to keep everything from changing, there were some things he just couldn't avoid facing.

An AU where the Lan Xichen is the Emperor; Lan Wangji is the Crown Prince; the Jin, Jiang, and Nie are Dukedoms; and even 13 years dead, Wei Wuxian is still the most feared man in all of China. Newly resurrected, Wei Wuxian would love nothing more than to cultivate a core and go become a rogue cultivator.
Except, there's something very suspicious going on in the Imperial Palace, and while Wei Wuxian might not be able to help Lan Wangji in solving it, the unassuming and soft-spoken "Prince-Concubine Mo" sure can.

"I guess..." He mumbles. "That... Yoshiki... it hurts...."
"If ya hadn't been so insatiable before I got home, it wouldn't hurt."
Yoshiki is forced to work a double and comes home late to find 'Hikaru' asleep, and very enticing.

Summary
Yoshiki sometimes wonders how ‘Hikaru’ spends his days. Usually, ‘Hikaru’ disappears for class when he gets bored. He once nagged Yoshiki to pick a major for him, but when Yoshiki told him to follow his own interests, ‘Hikaru’ had muttered: “You don’t let me follow you, though.” Yoshiki gave up then and let him do whatever it was he did all day. Still, ‘Hikaru’ was always home before him—always leaving and returning alongside Yoshiki, as if shadowing him.
That’s why it shocks him to come back to an empty apartment.
Or Yoshiki and 'Hikaru' finally leave that town and go to University at Tokyo.

The word that Yoshiki had called him as he cradled his jaw. A small, coy smile on his dotted face as he spoke. It had set something off within ‘Hikaru’. An unfamiliar heat that only Yoshiki seemed to be able to ignite. But, never as strong as he did when he had uttered that word.
