Summary
Ever since the X-Event ended, Cross has been searching for... something, though he isn't sure what. Right now, though, all he's looking for is somewhere where he can be alone. Instead, he finds himself in a broken, empty AU that looks hauntingly similar to his own universe after Timeline X. Things only get more complicated when Ink shows up. Outside from the fact that Cross hasn't quite forgiven his ex-friend yet (he wants to, but how can he, when Ink doesn't seem to care about what he did?), it's more than a little concerning that Ink seems to be trying to hide something about this AU.
As it turns out, though, that is the least of their concerns once they realize that a stray Creator has locked them in...

Realizing what Dark did, he pulled back and let go of Chosen, just enough to stare at each other, trying to figure out what just happened.
“What was that?” Chosen breathed.
“I don’t know” Dark answered way too fast.
“What was that?”
“I—I don’t know!”
