A 'mining accident' results in Orion Pax and D-16 ending up aboard the Lost Light, and they find out that, yes, other Cybertonian's exist outside of their universe.
Or as Swerve put it: “Because, yes, we’re on a ship. The Lost Light. And if you don’t know that, then I should have probably called in backup about five minutes ago.”
AU which takes place post Lost Light (specifically after the comics ended) and pre Transformers One.

"Uh, if you don't mind me asking, sir, what are the Autobots? And you're not a Prime," D-16 said politely. "Or… are you?"
Optimus looked stricken by incredible unease. He began to frown.
"It would be nice if you two could tell me your names." Optimus dodged their question. He had spoke quietly as if he was afraid of what the answer could be.
Pax and D-16 glanced between each other. D gave a slight nod. Orion began to put on a friendly smile.
"My name is Orion Pax. This," he gestured over to D, "is my best friend, D-16. Nice to meet you, Optimus."
Pax was sure he didn't say anything wrong, but the shocked and slightly aghast expression from Optimus gave him doubts.

Orion Pax and D-16 find a mirror that shows themselves in other universes. They find that their alternate selves have no shortage of advice to give.
