“Careful, Spy-san. Aren’t you getting too comfortable around a big, bad, terrible pirate?” Ace shoots back, as he watches the relaxed lines of the spy’s shoulders. The blond easily falls into step with Ace.
“We are both stuck on this ship until we make it to land,” the blond points out. “Besides, I already told you. I could take you on with my pink finger.”
Ace sticks his tongue out. “I bet even Luffy could take you on, and he is a weak crybaby.”
That elicits a laugh from not-Sabo, and it has Ace reeling with delight. And oh, he is a little fucked, isn’t he? Even if this stranger is not Sabo, even if it is just his face and his actions and his stupid propensity to get under Ace’s skin, Ace could never raise a weapon against him and actually intend to kill.
It’s not Spy-san, but rather he who has gotten too comfortable.

Summary
One of the first things Kaveh learned after being turned is this: vampire is a kind term for what he had become, so achingly tender in the way that it encompasses none of the violence that it inspires. Vampire. The syllables roll off the tongue smoothly, a different type of creature, a categorization, a descriptor. It’s all too gentle and unassuming, like bitter fruits covered in sticky sweet nectar. Deceptively calm.
Monsters are closer to the reality.
Lips stained coppery red, bruised skin below sharp fangs, he still remembers the face of his first victim. Often, he wonders if the boy knew that he was just as scared as him, that he was as scared of himself as his victim must have been that day. Instead, all he is left with is two simple facts: he nearly killed someone, and that it nearly killed him.

“Well, I sure hope so,” Dori agrees. “Though, I doubt it’ll remain so for very long.”
Kaveh finds himself finally looking up, breath caught in his lungs, a lump in his throat that makes it impossible to talk without choking. He blinks back the heat in his eyes.
“I’ve already lived my ambition. There is no after,” he says, voice unsteady like a stormy sea.

Summary
Sabo and Ace traded letters. They trusted the other to write a letter and talk to their soulmate.
There was a bit of a problem though.
Ace thought Sabo was dead and has been rehearsing a speech to Sabo's soulmate about his death for years. Sabo had no idea if he had a letter or not because of his amnesia.
Then they both switched.

Luffy gasps delightedly, head wiping around to stare up at Whitebeard with wide, excited eyes. “Ace tried to kill you too?!” he shouts. Behind him, the party doesn’t necessarily stop so much as pause, focusing in on the growing spectacle before them. Oblivious, Luffy continues on. “How long?”
Whitebeard looks down at the young pirate captain that’s practically vibrating in place. Then he looks to the blond revolutionary that is also staring up at him, gaze considering and keen. Then to his second division commander who now has his face in his hands, ears red where they poke out of his hair. Finally, he glances at the rest of his children, out of loop and confused, yet intrigued, nonetheless.

Summary
“What was he like when you were younger?” Jinbe asks, looking strangely intent as he stares at Ace. Ace stares back at him for a moment, before leaning his head back against the cell wall and smiling. Memories of him, Luffy, and Sabo running through the forest flash before his eyes, and nostalgia fills him. The months that the three of them spent together are Ace’s most treasured memories.
He grins, shaking his head and chuckling as he says, “Well, I guess if I’m going to talk about him as a kid, I should talk about my twin first.”
