Summary
The sequel to Stay, a Louisiana swamp witch AU.
A little over a year after the events of Stay, a witch is cursing members of the Hale Pack for his amusement. His presence foreshadows a gathering of witches in Stiles's hometown, called the Midnight Court, which clashes with a gathering of shifters from all over the South. The two groups struggle to remain cordial given their tumultuous past. Stiles navigates a delicate balancing act while also trying to come to terms with the strain within his own pack and the emergence of his evolving sexual desires.
Readers are encouraged to read Stay first, as some scenes and backstory in Midnight are referential to the original work.

There was no physical equivalent to what it felt like they did, so intimate it was. It was seeing each other naked, it was deep make-outs, it was dry-humping, and it was sex, but it was none of it. Peter Hale had a gift when it came to client relations. Derek had been to just about every five star restaurant in Manhattan, so much so that the shine of expensive business lunches and dinners at exclusive restaurants had begun to wear off just a bit.
All of the safety precautions were a little strange, and they were definitely atypical from the normal places they had attended. Derek wasn’t exactly sure why, but he didn’t really care. Every place had their niche.
But once they passed through those doors, everything made complete sense.
