Summary
Tension. She was used to that when it came to Jax, but only when it came to disagreements, fights, and anything that is part of being enemies. This, however, was something that she had only become familiar with as of late. It took some getting used to. Well, on her side of things at least. For Jax, he reveled in this if the haughty chuckle in her ear told her anything. The moan couldn’t be swallowed back down in time for it to escape and she could see the smirk on his mouth growing.
Fine.
Two can play at this game.

“It’s nothing!,” Jax defended himself. “It’s just a bit o’ mud, I’ll live! And I didn’t even start — the guy just came out of nowhere and broke a chair over my head!”
“A chair?!”
“It’s fine, Ragatha!” He walked past her, towards the tent he apparently wanted to claim for himself.
They all followed him with their eyes until Zooble broke the silence. “They have a nice liquor store in that town.”After even Jax was angry with the "Escape the Circus" adventure, Caine sends the Circus members on another suggestion-box one. The group ends up as outlaws in the 1890s Wild West, needing to survive by robbing and killing, while also having to navigate the uncomfortable atmosphere between all of them.

Summary
Hiraeth - (n.) a homesickness for a home to which you cannot return, a home which maybe never was; the nostalgia, the yearning, the grief for the lost places of your past.
Some are coping with the aftermath of the circus better than others. One of the others would be Ragatha, who's trying her best to relearn what it is to be alive, and maybe reconnect with Jax too. But like always, she wonders if her best is ever enough.

Summary
Feeling truly alone after Jax and Pomni start forming a friendship, Ragatha starts spending time with Caine when he wants to collect data on what everyone in the circus likes. They realize that they have much more in common with each other than they thought, being people pleasers just trying their best to make everyone happy.
The more time she spends with him, the more they bond and find joy in each other's company. And over time, they start developing feelings for each other. The others start to take notice of the blooming relationship forming between the ragdoll and the ringmaster. Strange as the relationship is, everyone seems happy for them...except for Jax.
Seeing Ragatha form a relationship with Caine stirs up old feelings in Jax. Taking him back to a time when he and Ragatha were close. Very close. And that sparks a surge of bitter jealousy in the rabbit.

Summary
After Ragatha helps Caine through a low point, he suddenly designates her as his assistant. She tries to use the position to improve things for everyone in the Circus, but Caine isn't allowed to give them everything they want. In the course of getting to know him better, she might have found a way to bypass those restrictions. But it could be dangerous when he's mentally unstable and becoming more obsessed with her by the day.

He became smug, reaching high above to pluck a blue rose from the rose bush. Ragatha bit her lip when he drew near, his breath over her face as he steadied a hand on her hair. Ragatha’s hair was pulled back by the flower, revealing her button.
“There, now everyone can see you. A pretty little rag doll!” He tapped her button firmly, before taking hold of the reins, kicking his mare off into a storm.
Ragatha released the breath she was holding, burying her face into her steed’s mane to fight off her racing heart.

Her exclamation catches the jester at the halfway point, prompting her to turn around.
She continues, “I-I changed my mind. I’ll go with Jax. You can go with Kinger.”
“Are you sure?” Pomni asks, eyebrows furrowing. “You don’t have to force yourself. I can handle him just fine.”
Of course she’s doubtful, Ragatha already showed her true feelings in her initial reaction to being paired with the bunny. It isn’t going to be a pleasant arrangement for herself or Jax. That much is obvious. Still, it’s a small sacrifice to make if it means keeping Pomni away from his negative influence.
“I’m sure. Maybe this can help us get along!” she smiles, though it feels more like a grimace.
