When Leo/Need had gotten the news that Saki was returning to the hospital, they’d all been understandably worried. After all, the memory of Saki’s hospitalization and the long years of separation weighed deep in their hearts, even after years of dating.
Ichika had immediately panicked and worried about Saki’s health.
Honami had jumped and rushed to reassure Saki, and then Shiho and Honami afterwards.
Shiho had simply asked Saki for details, and then sighed with resignation afterwards.

“Oh. So…you’re supposed to kill me.” Saki’s face, by now, has had its color replaced with large, fat tears that are rolling down onto the floor. Ichika can’t exactly recognize what Saki’s face looks like, nor can she see clearly what Shiho and Honami are doing.
But what she does know is that she’s just dropped a bombshell revelation on Saki. One that might have sealed her fate.

“Leo/Need, you’re up in five minutes!” The lady dressed vaguely in a black three-piece shouted at Ichika. “Get ready!”
Ichika gives the lady a nervous nod, hands sweaty as they slide over the arm of her guitar. “R-right!”
She takes a deep breath. The backstage feels unusually cold and oppressing at this particular time, and the music of MIRACLE, the band that’s just started their last song, feels like a distant ringing in her music. Ichika can vaguely make out the pain-filled lyrics, but it’s all far-away sound as she tries and fails to calm herself down.
Leo/Need is currently standing at the backstage of a massive stadium, about to perform for a multi-band event indie music concert. And Ichika is nervous.
Unusually nervous.

"Good work today," Honami says as she smiles and hands her a water bottle and a towel. She’s still panting slightly, worn out from all the hill running she and Saki did. A drop of sweat trickles from behind her bangs, running down her forehead.
Saki takes the offering, grinning, and then tiptoes, using the towel to wipe off Honami's forehead. Honami lets out a little eep, her ears shooting straight up. Saki giggles, bouncing away. Ichika looks on fondly, from where she’s taking a sip of her own water.
"Want to go for another lap, Saki? Since you don't seem tired yet." Shiho says, leaning over the railing and raising their eyebrows.
Oh yeah, she can go for another lap. Especially if it means leaving Shiho behind in the dust.

Another Zeknova, another Char ending the world. Again. Again. Again.
