Kal-el, a freelance journalist specializing in xenobiology correspondence, is in love. A surly little unclassified mammalian at the shelter he volunteers at has stolen his core. He’s never had a pet before and this creature has a history of servere behavioral problems, but he can’t let the poor thing stay at the shelter forever without trying to save it. How hard could exotic pet ownership be.

Summary
Magic was a thing that all the Bats were used to by now. From being de-aged, gender-swapped, thrown in alternative dimensions and even time travel they have done it all. But the thing was it had only really happened to the capes, not their grandpa. Which meant when Alfred got hit with a stray spell during an event that was interrupted by rouge magicians the whole family was noticeably nervous.

Summary
Preening was the most intimate ritual in avian cultures. Done only by family and partners, it was more than simple hygiene for avians. It was a gesture of trust and love. There were very specific customs about where they were done, what words were spoken to cue the ritual, and who could do it. Traditions varied slightly, but the core concepts remained the same. Among avians, requests to preen and be preened were expected to be semi-frequent, in order to maintain the deep bonds that avians kept with each other.
Or, 5 times Bruce preens his birds and 1 time they preen him.
