Gabriel grabs both of Crowley's wrists. It takes him a few tries—at least Crowley can say that much for his own self-defense skills—before he forces them back onto the bed. He holds them on either side of Crowley’s head, breathing on Crowley’s face, his deep violet eyes raking over Crowley's own. He licks his lips, the upper, the lower.
And then suddenly, he lets go.
“That’s right,” Gabriel says, the words softly thunderous. “Hit me again.”

Crowley was still as stone beside him. His ears were cherry-red. “So...if we pretend we’re in a relationship, we’ll be safe.”
“I believe so.”
“And that would, that would involve, what?” he spoke hesitantly, softly. “Holding your hand, telling you that you mean a lot to me, kissing you for them to see?”
Two great hands were constricting Aziraphale’s lungs. He fought back an undignified wheeze. “Yes, I think so.”
“I can do that,” he croaked.

In a panic, Aziraphale tells the archangels he survived hellfire due to his soul mixing with Crowley's because they're in a romantic and sexual relationship. They want him to prove it. Cue a fake relationship.Series

“Those were tasteful nudes,” Aziraphale says sharply. Really, now. The rest he can just about tolerate, but this is getting quite silly. When he glances at Crowley, he finds him looking over at him in the besotted sort of way he tends to whenever Aziraphale is getting feisty. “Surely the Almighty would allow,” Aziraphale goes on, “or indeed encourage us to celebrate the glory of the design — ”
“You have been using the Heavenly-issued telephones to send lewd photographs to one another?” Uriel interrupts. “The phones you were issued aren’t equipped with an image-taking function.”
“Ah,” Aziraphale says.
(Crowley says yes to Heaven. He and Aziraphale enjoy three fornication-filled weeks there before they’re banished for good.)
