Dan Heng is about to summon Cloud Piercer to his hand when he is swept up into an embrace, swift spinning steps taking him out onto the dance floor.
“Follow my lead.” The low order is murmured in his ear in a voice that is far too familiar, a voice he has never heard.

Dan Feng’s expression becomes thunderous. Not wanting him to misunderstand, Dan Heng explains what happened to him in detail.
“So it was under duress.” Dan Feng is inscrutable. He dismisses Dan Heng’s apologies. “There is nothing to forgive; had I been there and known it would work I would have begged you to do it.” His claws rap slowly against the tabletop. “But. It does seem a bit unfair.”
“...Unfair?”
Dan Feng’s smile is lazy and predatory. “If you give me a kiss as well, we can call it even. How about it?”
Dan Heng’s mind blanks as he stares at him. Stares at his lips. “You—what—“Dan Heng spends the rest of the festival fending off would-be suitors and flirtations from the oblivious Vidyadhara who seems confused why people are approaching him.

Summary
My final YingRen/RenXing work, my magnum opus (/j). A story about Blade healing.
“You are the one who desires death!” Yingxing cries, pushing back. “Forcing your desires and unattainable dreams on me, what can you hope to accomplish?!” He desperately blocks Blade’s strikes, barely able to turn them aside. “The death you seek is your own, but I cannot give it to you.”
He can’t die here. He won’t die here.
“I only have this short life, yet there is much I still want to achieve.” Yingxing’s voice is filled with passion as he struggles against Blade. “Your flame has been extinguished, yet mine still burns with ambition, untold aspirations waiting to be fulfilled!” Catching Blade’s sword on his own, Yingxing shoves him back, desperation and fury giving him strength.Yingxing goes to take the chair across from Blade, sipping at his own glass as he examines Shard Sword.
“What material did you use to weld this?” Yingxing asks mildly.
Silence.
He looks at Blade. “The Abundance?”
Blade looks back at him, expression blank.
Yingxing takes a large swig of his scotch.
